We will have small the meeting room, which is directly to the right of the main entrance.
The videos will be car-based, and we will tap into Adam’s collection of Best Motoring and Top Gear for now, but we welcome submissions... so if you have something automotive that is interesting, please let us know!
Space is limited, so RSVP early.
Info on the videos and topic of the month will be posted in the Members area of the club forum on our web site. |

This is a community support event, that has for several years had club members associated with it, and supports a worthwhile cause that affects many. Members are encouraged to participate if they feel so inclined.

Our 2008 block of time is from 9am to noon on Sunday Feb 17, we have room for 12 volunteers. The event is at the Red RobinsonTheatre in Coquitlam

Our traditional start to the driving events season. We'll meet at Coquitlam Centre and head out for a scenic back roads drive followed by a social lunch stop to be able to talk about car stuff and other things, and then some more driving. Great family event.

The New BMW 1 Series Condensed 1ntensity
Along with the launch at dealers, BMW Group Canada is offering an exclusive opportunity to experience the unparalleled performance of the new BMW 1 Series Coupe and Cabriolet first hand via a test drive event.
The Vancouver event will be from April 4-6 and BMW Group Canada has offered 10 registration PIN numbers for club members that may be interested.
The club has set up private a Karelo link to make the 10 registration PIN numbers we were given available to members. So when the 10 spots are gone, you will have to find another way to register. [Some of you may also receive and invite from your BME retailer or BMW Group. You can also request a PIN from the BMW Canada web site.]

For the most part, you will enjoy the performance of the BMW 1 Series fro behind the steering wheel. Instructors from BMW Driver Training set up exciting driving activities that showcase the capabilities of the car, and let you feel The Ultimate Driving Experience in its purest form. Via radio, you'll learn about advanced technologies like Active Steering while driving the car. In the performance part of the course, you will feel the power the in-line six-cylinder engines have to offer, all from within the safe and controlled environment of a closed course.

Vintage Car Collection Tour |

We've discovered a wonderful local vintage and old cars collection, and will take this day to go explore it. Entry cost to view is $10 [owner donates proceed to charity]
Date: Sunday April 27th, 2007
Meeting Location: 100800 No.5 Road, Richmond, [parking lot of what used to be Fantasy Garden World Richmond]
Meeting time: meet from 9:30am to 10:00am when we will depart for the drive to get to the car collection location with an interesting photo op along the way.
We expect to arrive for the viewing by 11am for a 2 hour tour.
There's about 140 vehicles! Plus lots of auto memorabilia Juke boxes and other mechanical musical boxes.
We've planned a lunch stop at O'Hare's Pub at Steveston and Railway in Richmond to follow the viewing.

A full day of 'dancing with cones' and of Skills practicing and challenge fun for BMW Car Club of BC members and other car enthusiasts who have previously taken a Car Control session. This is basically a full day of skills practice on a slalom course with Driving Unlimited instrucotrs on hand to cover important basic safety skills and provide feedback and coaching.

Event costs and fees
There is no event sign up fee, but there is the cost for the buffet lunch at The Harrison Hotel. Buffet Lunch cost is about $26.00 which include GST and gratuity. Each participant is responsible for their own lunch costs.
Please note, space at this event for the brunch is limited , sign up early to avoid disappointment.
New comers and guest welcome, however event participation and registration preference for this event is given to valid club members of the BMW Car Club of BC or BMW Club of Canada. or BMW CCA, as our available lunch space is limited to 60. |

German Car Festival |

The Seventh Annual German Car Festival, a gathering of the various German premium marque brands is planned for this Sunday in June. The event will start at Cypress Bowl parking lot followed with a short drive that ends at Waterfront Park for a display of the cars. A fun day out with fellow German Car Enthusiasts.
Event Fees $10 car entry fee plus donation of non perishable food item for the Food Bank will be collected day of event.
Our sponsors will provide some prizes to be given away and some other funstuff. There will also be a food vendor available for lunches. |

August 16-17th is officially the dates for the 2008 Historic Motor Races (HMR) at Mission's Rivers Edge Raceway! The event will feature German racing cars including Porsche, BMW, F.Vees and VW Beetle's and maybe the odd Opel or Mercedes. If we're lucky the new track configuration will be in place for all to sample the upgrades. |
