This is basically a full day of skills practice on a slalom course with Driving Unlimited instructors on hand to cover important basic safety skills and provide feedback and coaching.

BMW Car Club of BC Dents Unlimited Tech Demo - May 4, 2010 |

Your club has arranged with Dents Unlimited to have a BMW CCBC Tech Demo Session on Tuesday, May 4th at 7pm.
If you have annoying little dents on your car, this is a chance to see how they fix dents quickly with specialized tools and lots of skill, without having to repaint or perform any additional bodywork.
You will also have an opportunity to get some dents fixed on your own car right then & there, as they will be able to do dent removal for a few people after the demo. It is an interesting and entertaining evening for people who care about their cars.
We have done this event before and it was very popular so we require that you use this Karelo RSVP which has a limited number of spots for registration to reserve a spot,. Note this is NOT A DROP IN EVENT RSVP via Karelo is required.
NOTE: In Case of Hockey... There is a chance that the event may be moved to the following evening, Wed, May 5th if the Canucks are playing hockey on the 4th. |

BMW Car Club of BC - Road Skills Driver Training Session
Advance your driving skills with this full day training session held using the closed road course at Mission Raceway Park.
Session requires completion of one of our Car Control sessions. Registrations are subject to verification of having taken a qualifying entry level course, or having met other qualifying prerequisites.
Emphasis of day is on skills exercises for safe road driving learned in a controlled environment with qualified instructors.
Instruction is provided by Driving Unlimited
Course fee:
$290 CDN for non members
$280 for valid club members which includes an on site catered lunch.
There will be room for Road Skills novices as well as advanced drivers in this session. Registration is limited to 30 cars

Important Note: Noise and safety restrictions apply at all BMW Club events, including driver training. Vehicles must be in sound mechanical condition, meet ICBC regulations as street legal and properly mufflered to allow normal conversation in the vehicle. The noise limit at our events is 90db. Cars must be equipped equally for both driver & passenger safety and comfort.

BMW Car Club of BC Celebrates the completion of 12 years since founding and the start of our club with our 13th Annual Harrison Fun Run
We always have great turnout for this annual fun event in celebration of the founding of our club. Don't miss this great event, sign up early.
Event costs and fees:
There is no event sign up fee, but there is the cost for the buffet lunch at The Harrison Hotel. Buffet Lunch cost is about $27.00 which include GST and gratuity. Each participant is responsible for their own lunch costs.
Please note, space at this event for the brunch is limited , sign up early to avoid disappointment.
New comers and guests welcome, however event participation and registration preference for this event is given to valid club members of the BMW Car Club of BC or BMW Club of Canada. or BMW CCA, as our available lunch space is limited to 56

Full Day of Driver Training for BMW Car Club of BC members and other car enthusiasts. Training provided by the skilled professionals at Driving Unlimited.

This is a full day session from 8:30 am until 4:30pm
Course fee is $200 CDN $190 or valid club members.

Nu-Brite is a certified Surrey, BC based business repairing and polishing automotive aluminum wheels., and they have agreed to host a Tech Demo session for club members to inform members about their services.
They will describe the composition and metallurgy of different wheels, types of finishes, wheel repair and straightening. They are well set up. The shop includes two lathes and a modern painting booth. (The painting booth is 8 months old and cost $250,000). We will see different wheels at the various stages of repair during the shop tour.
Expect the session to take about two to two and a half hours depending on the number of questions. We will break for coffee after an hour or so.
Note: This is not a drop in event. RSVP via Karelo or email is required as space is limited.
Preference give to valid club members. |

Fathers Day Fahrt Ins Blaue Join us for 13th Annual Edition of our summer Fahrt Ins Blaue - Fathers Day day drive.
Date: Sunday June 20, 2010
Meeting Time: 10:00am to 10:20am meet and assemble
10:30am sharp departure for the drive
Meeting Location: Guildford North Lot 105Ave 152 St, next to Chevron
Details: A fun scenic day drive for BMW Car Club of BC members that includes a lunch stop for an opportunity to socialize and chat with fellow club members.
Suitable for the entire family, this is a relatively low cost fun outing.
Registration via Karelo or other RSVP is requested so we can plan for space and advise the restaurant of how many folks to expect.
This is an event organized by and for club members. Sign up preference will be given to club members.

Advanced Skills Driving Day at Mission
This is the first of four by invitation days at Mission for advanced drivers, hosted and organized by the BMW Car Club of BC and Driving Unlimited
This is a great opportunity for hours of seat time for advanced enthusiasts at a local track
With a limit of 24 cars total for the day, you can imaging the seat time, even if you were split into two run groups.
The format is by invitation to pre qualified drivers... i.e. drivers must be approved based on past event participation and skills qualifications. Although the event is hosted and organized by the BMW Car Club of BC, it is a non-denominational event... we do not discriminate on car make , but are concerned about a cars safety and modifications. Membership in the BMW CCBC, while not mandatory, is encouraged, and a fee discount is offered to valid club members
Participants must have completed at least two of the regular Road Skills courses at Mission from the BMW CCBC or equivalent and preferably more. If you have not been to an advanced event in more than 24 months, we would recommend you attend one of our Road Skills Courses before applying for one of these Advanced Days. Drivers are expected to be mature and respect the rules, other drivers and cars. Passing will be allowed with point-bys in designated areas. Approved helmets are required, no loaners provided.
Otherwise course will be open from about 0830 - 1600 hr with a short break for catered lunch. Also time to go get gas for the thirsty cars. Instruction / coaching will be on demand.
Cost for the day has been set at $315/person for valid club members, $330 for non members. Numbers will be capped at a max. of 24 participants, and we require a full event to make the day happen and pay the bills.
Please be aware of the registration cut off dates. At this group size, we need to fill all the spots, and can not offer refunds for cancellations, unless we can resell your spot

9th Annual German Car Festival
Co-hosted by the BMW, Porsche and Mercedes Club's in BC
A fun day out with fellow German Car Enthusiasts.
This year we are opening gates at Waterfront at 9:45 am so people can arrive, sign in, and park their cars for the show part which starts at 11:00 am.
Net proceeds of entry fee plus donation of non perishable food item for the North Shore Harvest Project Food Bank will be collected day of event
Event sponsors will provide some prizes to be given away and some other funstuff. There will also be a food vendor available for lunches, as well as an ice cream vendor.
The German Car Festival traces its routes back many years to when it was a Porsche Club show and shine outing to support a local charity.
In 2002 the event formally became the German Car Festival as Ron Dempsey worked to bring the BMW, Porsche and Mercedes clubs together to host the event.
The event has grown and become popular as a summer show and shine for the various authorized German car clubs. Those are the 'brick and mortar' clubs that are sanctioned by the manufacturer, and now include not only our BMW Car Club of BC, but the local Porsche Club of America - Canada West Region, the Mercedes-Benz Club of America - British Columbia Section, and the Audi Club of British Columbia.
As can be expected from such a diverse group, there will some very interesting cars participate in this event both new and old.
The entry fee net proceeds and perishable food items collected are donated to the North Shore Harvest Project.
