Important Notes: build dates may be from European guides, and do not always reflect the North American model year scheme. PS is horsepower measured in European DIN mode.

 Vintage and Heritage pre modern era cars
Vintage cars by definition from the motor licensing vehicle act in BC are defined as being 21 years of age or more.
That means cars built prior to 1978. In addition for a car to carry 'Vintage' or 'Collector' plates it must meet certain requirements about authenticity.

1956-1959 the classic roadster
An extremly unique and special car. Depending on interpretation only 252 or 255 were hand built.

1958-1960 mini car
The 600 one of the so called series of 'bubble' cars.built from 1955 until 1962. 34,813 built

1966-1977 the 'Neu Klasse' starts
The 114 models represent the second generation of the 'Neue Klasse' cars. The model range is best known for the '02 series of cars. Models included  1600, 1602, 2002, 2002ti, 2002tii

1968-1975 large sedans 2500, 2800 Bavaria
Best known in North America as the Bavaria series, this line up known as the new sixes were built from 1968 to 1977. Models include 2500, 2800, 3.0s, Bavaria, 2.8L, 3.0L, 3.3L
 

E9

1965-1975 classic coupes
The E9 belongs to the family of 2000 and Three-Liter coupes built between 1965 and 1975. The E9 models are from 1971 to 1975. Models include 3.0cs 1971-75, 3.0csl 1971-72, 3.0csi 1971-75, 3.0csl 1972-73, 3.0csl 1973-75

1973-1983 1st generation 3 series
The first of the new generation of 3-Series cars. the E21 was built from 1972 to 1983

1983-1991/2 2nd generation 3 series
The second generation of 3 series, was built from 1983 to 1992. Many of the models are still highly desirable.

1991-1998 3rd generation 3 series
By far the most popular cars in the third generation of 3 series models were the 328is and the 4 door M3.
  E46 1999-2003 4th generation 3 series
E46 Coupe The fourth generation of 3 three series includes more softness and luxury, and in North America an all 6 cylinder line up, while the rest of the world gets both 4 cylinder gas, and innovative 4 and 6 cylinder diesel engines.
E90 2004-> 5th generation 3 series
X3 E83 2004+> 3 series sized SUV
 5 Series large sedans and touring wagons
  E12 1972-1981 1st generation 5 series
The first of the new generation of 3-Series cars. the E21 was built from 1972 to 1983
  E28 1982-1988 2nd generation 5 series
The second generation of 5 series, was built from 1982 to 1989. Many of the models are still highly desirable.
  E34 1988-1996 3rd generation 5 series
The E34 series saw the introduction of a Touring Wagon as well as the move to V8 engines in this class.
  E39 1997-2000 4th generation 5 series
The fourth generation of five series models includes more softness and luxury, while still maintianing a sporty car feel
  E60/61 2000-> 5th generation 5 series
 6 Series touring coupes

Designed as a touring coupe, these elegant and now sought after cars were built from 1977 to 1989

E63/E64 2nd generation 2003-> 2nd gnereation 6 coupe and cab
 7 Series large luxury sedans
  E23 1978-1987 1st generation 7 series
 733i, 735i, 745 and 745i
the 745i was a rare to Canada turbo
The first of the large sedan class, the E23 seven series were built from 1977 to 1987
  E32 1988-1994 2nd generation 7 series
 735i, 740i, 735iL, 750iL The second generation of seven series, was built from 1988 to 1992. The larger size especially of the L strecthed models had many folks affectinately call this the seven sled.
  E38 1995-2001 3rd generation 7 series
 740i, 750, and 740iL and 750iL long wheelbase Although a big six and diesels are available in Europe and other markets, the Canadian versions came only as V8s (740) and V12s (750)
  E65/66 2002- 4th generation 7 series
 745i, 765i The fourth generation of seven series models are just being released and include many new features and inovations

Never officially imported to North America the Z1 was the first of the modern series roadsters. Based on an E30 chassis
  Z3 roadster 1996-2001 based on E36 chassis
The Z3 series of roadster was introduced in 1996, and made a debut in a James Bond movies It has since expanded with larger engines, and an M Roadster version. Based on an E36 chassis
Z4 roadster 2002-> E85 based roadster
  Z8 roadster 2000-present E52 in a class of its own
This limited production roadster is sure to be a classic from the start. Taking inspiration from the classic 507 and with the V8 powerplant found in the M5 this is a high end fun car.
 X - SAV 4 wheel drive sports activity vehicle
  X5 SUV 2000-present E53 BMWs version of the SUV
The first of a new breed the X-Series vehicles. Combine four wheel drive and wagon utility in a large sized off road capable vehicle.
