Celebrating 25 years of the BMW car Club of BC

2023 was a very special year at BMW Car Club of BC after the doldrum pandemic years. Our 25 anniversary of the club celebrated our founding back in 1998 when 6 enthusiasts embarked on a drive from greater Vancouver to Harrison Hot Springs. In the early years much work was put into the club joining BMW Clubs Canada and the International Council of BMW Clubs.

Over the 25 years the club has grown and expanded. Over that time the Club has had approximately 2000 paying members with a consistent 200+ annual membership. We have expanded to social media with a private Facebook group, Instagram and YouTube presences that have well over 3000 members, and thousands of site visits per week.

Throughout 2023, we organized 15 events, including club drives, social gatherings, advanced driver training, and one of the most highly regarded BMW car shows in British Columbia in partnership with Auto West Classic Garage. Three standout events marked our 25th anniversary celebrations: the Duffey Lake/Kamloops two-day trip, the 25th-anniversary lunch at Vancouver’s Hastings Racecourse, and the Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit tour.

We created anniversary stickers and new clothing options and bought new technology and gear to make our advanced driver training one of the best values for car enthusiasts in BC. To all of our members we could not have done this without your passion and camaraderie – so thank you so much.
